Greetings to all Honorable Postmasters, Station Managers, Supervisors, and Associate Members! I want to start off by saying “Thank You for your Service!”.
Do you hear that often enough? As we approach one year of this life changing pandemic, the Leadership of UPMA members continue to “Rise to the Occasion”. The daily challenges for many that are struggling with staffing and the reality of Peak Season being just around the corner is a concern for all. Another reality is that every new hire employee may not conform to minimum requirements for the position they are hired for. Therefore, it is not systemic from the leadership of our UPMA Honorable Postmasters, Station Managers, or EAS staff.
As President, my first mission is to increase membership with your help. We are stronger in numbers, which will put California back on top as it was once before. It is Time for Change and United California Shall Stand (North, Central, and South).
Effective October 01, 2021, a $75 membership incentive will be offered to current members for signing up every new EAS member. You may also contact Cal UPMA Membership Chair and VP South, Glenn Sweet or any of the executive board members for additional details.
We want you to stay informed! Knowing what’s going on and why; is extremely intrinsic during these changing times.
How to stay informed:
· Our California site- will be updated soon.
· Our Facebook site- @ UPMACalifornia is also a good place for news releases
· The Californian -California UPMA Monthly publication
· UPMA National site- @ unitedpma.org (resources tab)
Please be on the lookout for details on the next California State Convention, which will be in April 2022.
Lastly, continue to be the Leaders that you are, communicate your concerns in writing, stay strong, and get involved!
Yours Truly and Stay Safe!
